Emergency Meeting - Madison, WI - July 2004

An emergency meeting of members of the Class of 72 was held in Madison, WI to discuss the crisis of high school boys turning 50. Dan Roseliep and I (Tom Lundy) were in attendance.

A very special and rare appearance by a former faculty member occured during the meeting. The one and only Phil Carey, formerly Father Carey, dropped in to make sure there was no illicit use of alcohol or drugs. For once, there wasn't. He was shocked.

Phil Carey

Phil lives in Madison with his wife Joyce. Phil retired shortly after leaving Campion and is living off the money he and Father Warosh made selling posters during Theology class. Actually he just retired from his position with the State of WI where he had worked since leaving Campion. If anyone remembers what subjects Father Carey taught at Campion he would like to hear from you because he does not.

Roseliep just moved to Madison because of the high cost of gin in Iowa.

At the meeting we concluded that is is better to be 18 than 50 as long as you have someone like Larry Dunn around who looks 50 to buy beer for you.
