Francis John Goetz Of Crystal, MN, died on July 10, 2012. Born June 26, 1935. Francis grew up in Wisconsin, son of the late Laurence and L. Ione Goetz. Preceded in death by his brother, George. Survived by wife, Patricia; children, Steven (Riki Banerjee) and Sharon (Matthew Hollister); grandson, Colin, and brothers, John (Bernice) & Fr. Gerald Goetz, SJ.; sister-in-law Kathy Goetz. Known for his intellectual prowess, his wry sense of humor and inquiring mind, his extensive vocabulary and incurable logophilia, his mechanical inclination and pragmatic craftsmanship, as a lifelong learner, and as a loving father and husband. He will be missed but his presence will be felt for a lifetime. Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Joseph Parish Community, New Hope.
